Is there an option to own the bike?

If you make 30 months of payments for the same bike, you are allowed to keep it at no extra cost.

Alternatively, you can buy the bike from us early. This will cost the sum of your remaining payments, with a 10% discount.

How much will it cost to own the bike early?

The price you pay will be calculated as the sum of the remaining monthly payments, with a 10% discount:

monthly price × number of months remaining × 0.9

For example, let's say you have a Frog 48 at £10 per month, and you have made 5 monthly payments already. The calculation would be:

£10 × (30 month plan − 5 months already paid) × 0.9 = £225 to buy the bike

We hope that this has been helpful. If you'd like to buy your bike, please get in touch with us.

How do I buy the bike from the Bike Club?

If you would like to buy your bike from us, please get in touch. We will look up your subscription details and let you know how much this would cost.

Once we receive confirmation that you would like to go ahead with the purchase, we will cancel your direct debit subscription and place a one-time charge on your direct debit mandate equivalent to this amount. We will then email you to confirm that ownership of the bike has passed to you.

An important note about legacy subscriptions

In March 2019, we simplified our subscriptions. They all now last for 30 months, regardless of bike type.

Before this, our plans generally had a duration of 21 months for balance bikes; 36 months for road and mountain bikes; and 24 months for all other bikes. Buying the bike at the end of this period cost a one-off payment equivalent to three months' subscription fees.

For these legacy subscriptions, the price to own the bike early is still calculated using the method above, the only difference being the different plan duration.

Please get in touch if you'd like to confirm the details of your plan.
